Ncell App Camp – Competition to StartUp

Ncell App Camp 2014 is the biggest mobile app competition in Nepal. The event is organized by Ncell, top private telecommunication service provider in Nepal. This competition helps to bring out entrepreneurial spirit within the mobile app community in Nepal. It is a platform for mobile app developers, thematic experts and other mobile enthusiasts to bring forward their creative and innovative mobile app ideas, products and prototypes that have the potential to stand out as a sustainable business in itself.

The competition is divided into four categories: Agriculture, Corporate, Education and Tourism. These categories are the most powerful field for development in context of Nepal. So, the technology can bring innovation and development through mobile application in these area. The app can be developed in any platform like Android, iOS, Windows Phone and even in Java mobile platform.

The registration is closed now which was started few months ago. Among 457 app ideas submitted, only 150 ideas are selected for the further competition. Representatives of the selected teams will participate in idea management, skill development and business development seminars during November 4 – 21. And they should submit their refined ideas by 1st December. Then, 24 best app will be selected for further competition, 6 ideas from each category. The announcement will be made by 3rd December. And final competition will be between these 24 app idea teams. One winner will be there from each category who will bag NPR 2,50,000. Also, an overall winner will be announced who will bag extra NPR 5,00,000. The winning ceremony will be on 11 December.
